ForteBow-Vc is an analog preamp designed specifically for cello piezo pickups. With a very high 10MΩ input impedance, it preserves the natural low-end of the instrument while controlling excessive resonance and harsh bow noise typical of piezo systems.
Cello piezo pickups are especially sensitive to improper impedance matching. When connected to standard instrument or line inputs, the result is often a thin sound, loss of low frequencies and exaggerated midrange.
ForteBow-Vc provides a 10MΩ input impedance that allows the pickup to operate in its optimal range, restoring depth, body and dynamic response of the cello.
Piezo pickups often exaggerate bow noise and surface details, especially during forte playing. ForteBow-Vc helps reduce this harshness without dulling articulation or expression.
This makes the preamp suitable for both classical and contemporary playing styles, including amplified chamber music and crossover applications.
