ForteBow-Vi is an analog preamp designed specifically for violin piezo pickups. With a very high 10MΩ input impedance, it preserves the natural tone of the instrument while reducing harshness and unwanted resonances typical of piezo systems.
Piezo pickups used on violins require much higher input impedance than standard instrument inputs. When connected directly to mixers, audio interfaces or pedals, a piezo pickup often sounds thin, harsh and unbalanced.
ForteBow-Vi provides a 10MΩ input impedance that allows the pickup to operate correctly, preserving low frequencies, improving dynamics and delivering a more natural acoustic character.
Unlike generic preamps, ForteBow-Vi is optimized for the frequency range and playing dynamics of the violin. The circuit gently controls excessive low-frequency resonances while maintaining clarity and articulation across the entire range.
This results in a smoother response, reduced bow noise and a more realistic acoustic feel, especially when playing through amplification or PA systems.
ForteBow-Vi can be used both on stage and in the studio. It delivers a stable output level suitable for long cable runs, pedals, mixers and audio interfaces without tone loss.
The preamp works equally well as a compact standalone solution or as the first stage in a larger signal chain.
